Explanations of Event Types:

• Presentations about the state of the Foster Care System – We want to do all that we can to raise awareness of the needs around the fostering community with an emphasis on the need for greater compassion toward each part of the system.

• Equipping/Training Sessions – It is central to our mission to provide tools not only to the fostering families, but also their extended families and very close friends that will help bear the load, and the churches surrounding them. We will jump at most any opportunity to help people support kids from hard places with grace and dignity. We believe we can be a particular help to churches, church staff, youth and children’s workers, and educators in gaining a stronger understanding of how to serve these kids well.

• Preaching –  Mike Peercy, our Executive Director, has spent most of the past 25 years in full-time pastoral ministry. He is passionate about the grace of God and how that grace can transform the crucial work of caring for kids from hard places.

• Other – We’re open to new ideas! Let us know how we can help your group make a difference in the lives of kids from hard places and the many folks that are providing for them.
